Duty of disclosure
You must make a fair presentation of the risk to us at inception, renewal and variation of your policy. This means that you must tell us about all facts and circumstances which may be material to the risks covered by the policy and that you must not misrepresent any material facts.
A material fact is one which would influence the acceptance or assessment of the risk. If you have any doubt about facts considered material, it is in your interest to disclose them to us.
This policy is compliant with the principles of the Insurance Act 2015. Zurich has taken the stance that in cases of non-disclosure or misrepresentation which are neither deliberate nor reckless, they will charge the premium that would have been charged at the point of sale had they known the full facts and pay any claims in full rather than reducing claim payments. This does not affect Zurich's rights to apply any other remedies under the Insurance Act.
You acknowledge that you are entering into an annual contract of insurance with the participating insurers and if you cancel after your 14 days cooling off period, the full premium is due. Failure to pay the insurance premium in full will affect your indemnity under the policy and you will be subject to debt collection provisions. However, any optional add-on products if selected, can be cancelled at any time, with a pro-rata refund based on the time you have received cover.
This is a non-advised insurance sale which means that it is up to you to decide if the policy is suitable for you and meets your requirements.
Full details of the cover are available in the policy documents.
